File Menu
The file menu contains all file I/O commands for gModeler.

File menu New...
Creates a new blank diagram, discarding any unsaved changes to the current diagram.

Open/Merge...
Opens the diagrams manager. The diagrams manager lets you open, delete and merge your saved diagrams.

Save
Saves the currently open diagram with the name set in the diagram details (See diagram menu) to a local shared object.

Save As...
Prompts for a new name, and saves the current diagram with that name.

Import XML...
Prompts for diagram XML (exported using Export > XML..) to import, then parses the XML, discarding any unsaved changes to the current diagram.

Export >
Contains all export options:
  • XML... - generates XML describing the current diagram which can be imported using the Import XML command. This is useful for saving your diagram to a local file, or for sharing with a colleague.
  • HTML Documentation... - generates HTML documentation based on the current diagram. HTML documentation can be posted to the web, or you can open it with your browser and copy and paste formatted documentation to Word or other applications.
  • FlashMX Docs... - generates XML for display in the FlashMX action and reference panels. Visit the Macromedia web site for more information on installing or using this documentation.
  • Stub Code... - creates ECMA-262 stub code (AKA skeleton code or class code) with FlashDoc compatible comments.
Print...
Opens the system print dialog, and prints the current diagram.
