About the gStartPage

gStartPage is a free extension for Flash MX2004 Pro and Flash 8. It minimizes or removes some of the less used features of the built in project panel such as create from template, and the Macromedia news panels, and adds a RSS reader and a clean new look.

Features

1. If you own the gProject panel, you can select a project without having to open a blank document first. If gProject isn't open, the project will be preselected when you do open it.
2. Opens the anchor FLA of the selected project
3. Removes the bulky news swfs, which display the flash version, and link to the help
4. Compresses the "Create from template" menu to a ComboBox
5. Puts your eyes at ease with its swank new skin

gStartPage was initially built for our in-house use, but after a gProject user requested such an update, we decided to clean it up and release it to everyone.

Who needs gStartPage?

If you have gProject this is a definite plus. If you don't, then you may want it just for the aggregator, which is customizable if you poke around your configuration folder. gStartPage is available for Flash MX 2004 7.2 and up.
