Project Panel update for CS5

We have made some changes to the free Project Panel Update that we released last year, which makes it compatible with Flash CS5.

Unfortunately, CS5 now overwrites the project panel files each time it launches, so this new version installs as a completely separate panel, which was have renamed “gProject”, a nod to its humble roots.

For more information on what the upgrade brings to the Project panel bundled in Flash, please read the original post. Since it is free, we can’t promise any support, but feel free to report any bugs using our support form.

You can download the gProject panel for CS4 and CS5 by clicking here.

  2. Hey guys,

Thanks for the update!! Works great. 🙂

On a side note, I noticed a small typo here:

“which was have renamed “gProject”” where “was” should be “we”.

  3. The project panel included in CS5 was so bad I over wrote it with your previous version… Good to know you updated a few things.. I hope you added support for the mouse wheel for mac.. for me that would have made it really sweet.

  4. ¡¡¡¡Your blog article is very intersting and fanstic,at the same time the blog theme is unique and perfect, great job.To your success.

  5. Thanks – the gProject panel in CS5 now means I can automate some of my build processes nicely with JSFL.

  6. I just tried to install gProject for CS5, but it didn’t show up anywhere in the “window > other panels” section. It’s just the old “Projects” Panel I already had before. Although the Extension manager shows that gProject is installed for Flash CS5, there is no way I can access it.

Besides, the trace-output of the old Project Panel has gone now, so I have to test the project manually again if I want to see what’s going on.

  7. Thanks. Much better than the CS5 version.

However, while using it at the same time as a flashlog viewer I noticed that mousing over GProject throws the following error:

TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.
